You try to determine the meaning by looking for clues about meaning.

Look for commas, parentheses or dashes that encapsulate or set off the definition
Situation 3 : Phrases to illustrate, for example, such as that indicate an instance of the word

Sobriquet : A person's nickname
Situation 6 : If nothing goes for you, go with your gut feeling. If it was registered someday in your mind it might feel right. But this is a 'take a chance' moment only and not be aimed for if target is accuracy.
